It's never ending...
Laughter that is... My kids crack me up, hysterically. Today my son was playing in his room, I walked in to check on him, because he was being very quiet. Every mommy knows that when a child is quiet (if their awake) that it's kind of scary to think of what you may find! Well, I walk in and there's my son...playing with a dinosaur...and a naked barbie doll. I said, "What are you doing?!?!" He replies...""the dinosaurrrr RAWWRRR...is eating Barbies head offff!!!! RAWRRRR!!! Riiiiiiiiip" hahaha I about lost it! He is so funny, I just couldn't control my laughter. Of course, his sister was not very happy to see her Barbie naked, or to see that the dinosaur was eating and ripping her head off. I love kids, theres never a dull moment with them around. Somedays I just sit and wonder, wow...how did I ever get along in life before without them?! I am so blessed beyond belief, I, like every other good mommy on this planet, just think I am the luckiest girl in the world to have such amazing children!

Not really sure?
It's one of those weeks where I just don't know. I have been slowly getting things back to normal in my house. I had a rough 3 weeks on my plate. So getting back together is not the easiest thing to do. I am so excited to get back into things though. I play softball on Sundays with my husband and some friends and I finally was able to play last week, and we finally won a game, after about a 15 game losing streak it seemed LOL. I am NOT used to losing, so to me it's a damper to the self esteem. I played fastpitch for years and we were really good. When I got into High School I played for their team and was pitcher. I tore my ACL completely in half and was not able to play anymore for the season, and the year after. So I went without playing a total of 7 years and this is my 2nd year back and I still got it in me! We all-in-all have fun, but winning would make playing even more fun! Lol. We play 3 seasons, Spring, Summer, and Fall. Next year we are thinking of joining another team, and playing for 2 teams, it would be a lot of fun.

Week of Unit 6
Unit 6, consisted of a lot of stuff going on.
First off I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. I was laid up on the couch for an entire week, I was in so much pain and the pain medicines they had me on were terrible. They knocked me out instantly it seemed. I could swear that the pain I had was definitely WORSE than child birth! I am so glad I will never have to deal with that again. Then, after dealing with that my daughter was bitten by a mosquito and the entire side of her face swelled up from mid forhead to right under her cheek bone. Her eye was also swollen as well. I took both of my kids to the doctor about checking them for allergies to bugs. The pediatrician confirmed that they both have allergic reactions to bug bites, and that once I notice a bug bite on them I have to give them benedryl and motrin. Other than that, they are both on claritin. Never in my life have I heard of kids being allergic to bugs. Go figure that mine would be?!

Blog for Unit 4
I have been M.I.A for the past few weeks due to a lot of stuff going on. First off, we went out of town, to Pennsylvania for my husbands family reunion. While we were there, the day before we left my son woke up with 2 bites on his leg that were seeping a yellowish fluid. I was freaked out and we took him to the hospital we go there to find that the doctor said "he was bitten by a bug" (wow what great information that was!) and he gave him an antibiotic to make the infection go away. Well a few days later after being home, he began running a fever. It was 104, I instantly dosed him up with motrin and put him in a luke warm bath, nothing would break this fever! I tried everything, it slowly went down to 99 and when he woke up, it slowly started going back up I decided to go to Children's Hospital and when we got there his fever was above 104. I was so scared, they told me to continue the antibiotics and motrin and benedryl. If his fever was to go back up by Sunday, he was to be taken to the hospital for tests and chest xrays. Finally his fevers went down on Sunday. He's so much better now. I am so relieved that nothing serious was wrong with him. That is what I was dealing with for the Unit 5 week.

One hectic week...
This week has been absolutely crazy. We are in the process of getting ready for vacation. We leave out Friday, and will be coming back next Wednesday. We are going to Pennsylvania, no it's not a "hot" vacation spot, we are actually going for my husbands mom's side family reunion. We are also going to IdleWild while there, which is an amusement park mainly for kids and families. I have been so busy trying to make sure I get and stay ahead with class, and housework. I have already begun packing, so thankful we all have plenty of clothes to be able to pack things a few days in advance. I am so proud of myself, too...since we are going to IdleWild, we really didn't want to be pushing around a ton of strollers, so I searched everywhere for a double stroller. I finally found a very nice one from a yardsale that I found on craigslist, $20.00 and it looks practically brand new besides the foam handles are tore apart. Although my 3 year old can walk, I know he will not want to walk the whole time, and I definitely do not want to carry him!
So, I had to miss Zumba lastnight, it makes me so upset to think about! I really love it, it's such a great workout and so much fun! Just with the way things have been so busy, I have so much to do before leaving, so therefore I had to miss it. I don't think I will be going more than once a week, but I am going to buy the DVD set.
I have been having problems with my kids here the past week or two, I don't know what to do anymore! So any mommies out there with advice, don't hesitate to let me know what you think! My kids are 21 months apart, I have my 3 year old that has always been such an angel, he had very good manners, well behaved, and did whatever I asked him to do. He had done a complete 180, and is now demanding I get him stuff, or demanding I do this or that, if I don't get him something he goes on and on about it and talks very angrily about it. If I ask him to do something he says his legs hurt, or that he's tired. He is SO lazy, for a 3 year old especially...he would rather sit and watch cartoons and eat all day. (He is not overweight) He is so mean to his sister, he pushes her down for no reason, he smacks her, screams at her, tells her what to do. When we go to discipline her, he steps in like its his job and whatever we tell her to do, he echoes us telling her the same, but in a much meaner way. It might be a stage, granted but I just don't know how to deal with it sometimes, or how to even teach him that it's not okay to act like that. It seems when I do he doesn't listen. I have tried time out, I've taken things away that he enjoys most, I've tried it all. I haven't gotten anywhere with these kids. Madilyn is 20 months old and thinks everything is hers, Connor cannot have anything whether it is originally his or not. She is so mean and hateful she screams this ear piercing scream if she's mad, she hits people, if you don't pay attention to her especially. She does stuff intentionally, she knows she'll get into trouble for. If you discipline her, she laughs. She won't stay in timeout no matter what you do. She is in all honestly, a hellian. I do not know what to do with her, she can drive me up the wall sometimes. Any advice would be great, I've thought of a few while sitting here writing this out, so please let me know what you have done, or would do.
I love my kids dearly, really I do. Somedays they just absolutely know how to hit every button I have. I don't let it show that they do, but I know they can sense it. I just don't want to have to live like this being down because I feel I've failed as a parent or something? Anyways, I hope everyone has a great week, and weekend! I will be enjoying time away from reality with my hubby and kids for a few days! I will let you all know how it goes, next week!

ZUMBA!!!!!
I started doing Zumba classes lastnight! I instantly fell in love with it. It is so much fun and upbeat and everyone there is so supportive of everyone and just generally nice. I love to dance and so this for me is totally worth it. The music is a lot of latino, and salsa and it just gets your energy level up. It's very fast paced and what I loved even more about it was that it wasn't step by step learning...the instructor threw us right into it like we had been in her class for months! She didn't sugar coat anything and it was an hour straight of dancing. It was so much fun! I joined the class with a couple friends in order to lose my last 18lbs that I seem to be carrying from my kids, but that cannot be an excuse anymore!
I am big on kids say the funniest things. The other day while preparing dinner my kids were sitting at their table having some apple slices while I cooked. Connor was getting very upset with Madilyn because she wouldn't sit still and stay seated. He thinks that he is her boss. So hubby and I were talking and next thing you know we hear
Connor- Madilyn!!! You better sit down, right now!
Madilyn- Noooooo.
Connor- Madilyn! Don't make me count to 3!
Madilyn- 1-2-3-eeeeee!
Connor- Madilyn, do you want me to spank your butt?!
Madilyn- Spank my BUTT!!!!
Connor- MADIIIILLLYYYNNNN!! DON'T YOU MAKE ME COUNT TO 10, I JUST DON'T FEEL LIKE IT!!!
Oh my gosh, throughout this entire conversation my husband and I were rolling, we couldn't control our laughter but we were hiding in the kitchen so the kids didn't see or hear us. I love my kids, without them life would be so boring! Although they have their moments, what kids don't? I wouldn't trade my life with them for anything.

The first of hopefully many...
I am starting this blog specifically for my College Comp II class, but also for anyone who would like to read about my oh so exciting life! ;-) First off...I'll begin by introducing myself, and my family.
I am Ashley, I am 22 and love playing sports. I am really big into Softball, I have played for 17 years, besides a few years that I took a break due to tearing my ACL. I also love to play volleyball and soccer. I am a young mommy, and a wife to my Jr. High sweetheart, Shaun. We have been together since he was 13, and I was 14. My son Connor is 3, he is rambuncious, and wild, yet he is a lovable little guy! He is amazing! My daughter Madilyn is 1, she is spunky, and very tough. She's definitely a brute!
I enjoy reading when I have time, which is mainly during the winter. We are hybernaters during the winter, we hate the cold! My husband and I both freeze too death, and we don't like driving in the snow either. I love books that are series, or mystery. I absolutely love tv, what can I say I'm a junkie! I love all the crime shows, ridiculously! Criminal Minds especially, I could watch that show 24/7. I also love reality tv, I hate drama, but I love watching it!
We basically live to enjoy ourselves, and are pretty carefree. We will help anyone out, depending on the circumstance. We live to take care of our children and give them a good life, and watch them grow unbelievably fast right infront of our eyes.
